Introduction

Very tasty black bean soup - high fiber, low fat, high protein. Very tasty black bean soup - high fiber, low fat, high protein.
Number of Servings: 8

Ingredients

    4 cans black beans
    1 small can diced tomatoes
    1 can chicken broth
    3-4 slices bacon, chopped, fried and drained
    1 tbsp chili powder
    1 tbsp lime juice
    2 tbsp ketchup
    2 tsp Worcestershire sauce
    1 cup cilantro, chopped
    Fat free sour cream to taste.

Directions

Fry chopped bacon. Drain. Add rest of the ingredients except for the lime juice and cilantro. Bring to a boil and then reduce to simmer. Simmer over low heat for 30 min. When ready to serve, add chopped cilantro and lime juice. Can add fat free sour cream to mellow the spices.
