Ingredients

    1 lb. dry navy beans ( 2 1/2 cups)
    6 cups water
    2 teaspoons minced garlic
    1 ham hock
    1 cup chopped onion
    1 cup chopped carrots
    1 15 oz. canned diced tomatoes
    1 4 oz. green chilies peppers

Directions

Soak beans in water at least 4 hours or over night in slow cooker.
Add garlic, ham hock, carrots, onion, beans, tomatoes, chilis, and water.
Cover. Cook on low 7-8 hours, or high 4 hours.
Remove ham hock from cooker. Allow to cool. Cut ham off the bone and stir back into bean mixture.
