Ingredients

    1 1/4 c. Ideal granulated 'sugar'
    1 c. shortening
    2 eggs
    1/4 c. 'lite' light corn syrup
    1 T. vanilla
    3 c. flour
    3/4 tsp. baking powder
    1/2 tsp. baking soda
    1/2 tsp. salt

Directions

- cream Ideal and shortening together
- add eggs, mix well
- add corn syrup, mix well
- add vanilla, mix well
- add baking powder, baking soda, and salt, mix well
- add flour one cup at a time, mix well
- chill dough for at least 1 hour
- preheat oven to 375*
- roll into balls or desired shape and bake until pale yellow
- sprinkle with sugar or frost as desired.
