Ingredients

2 pkgs unflavored gelatin
1/2 C. water
1 qt. 2% milk
1/2 C Splenda or sugar (or 1/4 C. ea.)
1 T. almond extract
chilled, canned mandarin orange clices
slivered, toasted almonds.
Directions
Toast the almonds 350 deg. in a toaster oven for 15 mins.
Soften the gelatin in water and set side
Scald, do not boil, the milk in saucepan and remove from heat.
'Stir sweetener, almond extract and gelatin into the milk to thoroughly incorporate.
Decant into glasses, or paper or styrofoam (not plastic) cups.
Chill thoroughly for 4-5 hrs until gelatin is set and thoroughly chilled.
Serve with mandarin orange slices, a little syrup from the can and slivered almonds on top.
