    2 cups milk
    2 tbsp sugar
    1 large peeled and grated apple
    1/4 tsp cardamom (elaichi) powder
    4 sliced almonds (optional)
    5 pistachio slivers (optional)
    Rose water(optional)
    Rose petals for decoration (optional)


Put the milk to boil in a deep pan and add the sugar.
Mix well and cook gently till the mixture is reduced to half.
Grate the apples and add to the milk and simmer for 5 minutes on low heat taking care not to curdle the milk. Add a few tspns of rosewater
Remove from the flame, sprinkle cardamom, pistas and almonds on top.
Serve hot or cold decorated with a few rosť petals
