Ingredients

1 cup whole wheat flour
1/4 cup white flour
3/4 cups quick cooking oats
1 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
1/4 cup margarine softened
1/4 cup light sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 large egg whites
1/2 cup sweetened dried cranberries coarsely chopped
1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Tips
For best results spoon flour softly into measuring cups. This prevents cookies from becoming too dry. Also, have all ingredients at room temperature. Try running warm water over eggs while you combine first ingredients, and letting margarine warm on the counter.
Directions
in small bowl combine flours, oats, baking soda, and salt. In a large bowl beat sugar, butter, and sour cream until smooth. Add vanilla and egg whites, beat until combined well. Gradually add flour mixture until well blended. Add in cranberries and chocolate chips.
Spoon level tablespoon fulls on baking sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 for 10-12 minutes or unil cookies are golden and semi-firm. Cool on pan for five minutes before moving to cooling racks.
