Ingredients
-
1/2 cup raisins
1/4 cup sliced almonds
1/4 old fashioned oats
1/2 tsp honey
Tips
I made this as an experiment, so I didn't want to make a huge batch in case they weren't very good. Luckily they were! You can easily double, triple, quadruple the recipe if you want to make a big batch to have them on hand.
Directions
in a food processor, pulse oats, raisins, and almonds until everything is in crumb sized pieces- but not too fine, you still want some texture.
add in honey, and pulse a few times (as needed) until mixture starts to form a ball.
spread "dough" out flat on wax paper, forming as close to a square or a rectangle as possible. wrap with wax paper, and chill for at least about an hour, or longer.
once chilled, unwrap and cut into whatever sized bars or squares you like. this recipe made two rectangle bars for me.
wrap bars in wax paper or plastic wrap, and store. they can be stored in the fridge for a couple weeks, or in the freezer for a couple months!
Serving Size: makes two bars
