Introduction

Yummy whole wheat muffins with with fruit, yogurt, walnuts and apple sauce then topped with chia seeds! Yummy whole wheat muffins with with fruit, yogurt, walnuts and apple sauce then topped with chia seeds!

Ingredients

    Wet:
    1 egg
    1/2 cup apple sauce
    1/2 cup yogurt
    1-2 bananas, mashed
    tsp vanilla
    Dry:
    1 cup whole wheat flour
    1/3 cup brown sugar
    tsp baking powder
    tsp baking soda
    tsp cinnamon
    punch salt
    Addin:
    1/3 cup chopped walnuts
    1 apple, diced or shredded
    2 Tbsp chia seeds, for the top

Tips

-Replace chia seeds with flax seeds, sunflower seeds, oats or omit all together.
-Replace walnuts with chocolate chips!


Directions

-Preheat oven to 350.
-Mix dry and wet ingredients in different bowls then stir one into the other until just combined.
-Stir in walnuts and apples.
-Spray muffin tins and pour batter in.
-Top with chia seeds and bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until toothpick or knife comes out clean.
