Introduction

A frosty treat that is a lot fewer calories than ice cream. A frosty treat that is a lot fewer calories than ice cream.
Number of Servings: 9

Ingredients

    2 packages semi-thawed frozen strawberries (one pound or 20 ounce packs) (Nutrition is for 2 20-ounce packs)
    2/3 cup sugar
    2/3 cup water

Tips

You could also use a food processor or blender to blend instead of stirring during freezing. It seems like a lot of dishes to wash though.


Directions

Boil water and sugar together and allow to cool.
Blend all ingredients until liquid.
Place blended mixture in 8-inch square metal pan and cover with plastic wrap. Allow to freeze one hour. Unwrap and stir mixture, breaking up ice chunks. Recover and freeze.
After two hours stir again and recover. Freeze until solid.
To serve, cut into 9 squares. Allow to defrost a little, and serve.
