Ingredients

    Butter, unsalted, 1 tbsp
Apples, fresh with skin, 2 medium
    Brown Sugar, 0.25 cup, packed
    Cinnamon, 2 tsp.
    Nutmeg, 1/8 tsp.

Egg, fresh, whole, raw, 4 large
    Flour, white, 1 cup
    Milk, 1%, 1 cup
    Vanilla, 1 tsp

Tips

I don't peel the apples. It tastes a little better with 2 Tbsp. of butter, but that adds more fat calories. Most recipes call for 4 Tbsp. of butter.

Directions

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.
Core and slice apples. I don't peel them. Melt butter in 10 inch cast iron frying pan. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, brown sugar. Then add apples and cook until apples are soft or about 5 to 10minutes.
2. Mix eggs, flour, milk, vanilla until smooth. You can use a blender
3.Pour batter over apple mixture.
4. Bake for 15-20 minutes. It will be golden brown. Sprinkle with confectioner’s sugar. Cut into six wedges and serve.
