Ingredients

    1 - Frozen Pillsbury deep dish pie crust

    Topping:
    1 c. flour
    1/2 c. brown sugar
    1/4 c. quick-cooking oats
    6 T. butter, melted

    Filling:
    2/3 c. sugar
    3 T. cornstarch
    1 and 1/4 c. cold water
    4 c. tart apples, peeled and sliced
    1 tsp. vanilla



Tips

Pies can be frozen before baking. If baking a frozen pie increase time to 60-70 minutes.


Directions

For topping: In a large bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, oats and butter.

For filling: combine the sugar, cornstarch and water in a large sauce pan. Bring to boil; stirring constantly. Reduce heat and stir for 2 minutes. Remove from heat, stir in apples and vanilla.

Pour apple mixture into a prepared deep dish pie crust. Top with brown sugar mixture.

Bake at 350 for 40-45 min.

Serving Size: Makes 8 servings.
