Ingredients

    Cake:

    2 c. sugar
    1 3/4 c. flour
    3/4 c. Hershey's cocoa
    1 1/2 teas. baking powder
    1 1/2 teas. baking soda
    1 teas. salt
    2 eggs
    1 c. 1 % milk
    1/2 c. canola oil
    2 teas. vanilla
    1 c. boiling water

    Filling and Icing:

    1 c. Crisco shortening
    1 (18 oz. jar) & 1 c. Marshmallow Fluff
    1 1/2 c. confectionery sugar
    ~ 3 Tbl. 1 % milk

Tips

Once cake(s) totally cooled spread part of filling on top of bottom layer of cake and place second cake layer on top of filling. Gently press top layer down onto the filling. Spread rest of filling over top and sides of cake as icing.


Directions

Cake:

Preheat oven to 350.

Combine dry ingredients in a large bowl. Add eggs,milk, oil, and vanilla. Beat 2 minutes on medium speed. Stir in boiling water - batter will be thin. Pour into either 2- 9in. floured and greased baking pans or 1 - 9'' x 13" floured and greased baking pan. Bake 30-35 minutes.
Cool in pans for 10 minutes on rack. Remove from pans and cool completely on rack.

While cake is baking make filling.

Filling:

1 c. Crisco Shortening
1 (18 oz. jar) and 1 c. Marshmallow Fluff
1 1/2 c. confectionery sugar
~3 Tbl. milk (add additional if needed)
