Ingredients

    2 pounds Ground beef
    1-1/2 cups ground beef
    1 chopped green bell pepper
    2 cloves minced garlic
    2 cans dark red kidney beans (Bush's Brand)
    2 cans tomato sauce (Contadina Roma Style)
    1 can diced tomatoes
    2 tsp chili powder
    2 tsp dry hot mustard
    3/4 tsp dried basil
    1/2 tsp black pepper

Tips

Can be done on the stove top by cooking veggies separate from beef then adding everything to beef when tender. Simmer for 20-30 mins and serve.


Directions

Cook and stir beef, onion, bell pepper and garlic in large skillet over medium-high heat 6-8 mins or until beef is browned and onion tender. Drain Fat. Transfer to a slow cooker.
Add beans, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, chili powder, mustard, basil, black pepper to the slow cooker and stir. Cook on low 8-10 hours and serve.

Serving Size: Serving size is 1 cup makes 9 cups
