Chocolate, Semi-Sweet Chocolate Chips, 0.66 cup
cocoa powder, unsweetened, 0.5 cup
Flour, white, 2 cup
Granulated Sugar, 1 cup
Egg, fresh, whole, raw, 1 large
Egg - Eggbeaters, 0.187 cup
Baking Powder, 1.5 tsp
Simply Organic Vanilla Extract, 1 tsp
Directions
melt butter and chocolate in a microwave safe measuring cup. set a side.
whisk together egg, eggbeaters, and sugar until light and fluffy.
stir in vanilla then slowly stir in the chocolate mixture.
Mix the flour, cocoa powder, and baking powder until combined.
stir the flour mixture into the chocolate mixture until combined. should be a slightly sticky dough. if too sticky add more flour.
Form the dough into 2 3.5 inch by 9 inch logs.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 - 25 minutes or until top is set.
lower oven temp to 275 degrees.
cool for at least 10 minutes then slice into 0.5 inch slices, about 16 slices per log.
Bake slices for 20 minutes on one side then flip and bake another 20 minutes on the other side.
