Ingredients

    1 tbsp canola butter (such as Land O Lakes)
    1/4 cup white flour
    1 cup 1% milk
    1/2 tsp table salt
    1/2 tsp pepper

Tips

DO NOT use skim milk, it will not form gravy. This is a serving size for a single person, covers 2 pieces of toast nicely.


Directions

Heat canola butter in a skillet over medium high heat, when melted and slightly bubbling whisk in flour very gradually until a paste-like consistency is reached. Add milk and whisk constantly until flour mixture is dissolved and gravy forms. Remove from heat.
