Number of Servings: 12

Ingredients

1.5 cups whole wheat bread flour
    1.5 cups white bread flour
    1 cup whey
    2 tbsp honey
    1 tbsp yeast
    1 tsp salt
    3 tbsp sunflower oil

Directions

Mix whey (warm slightly if using yeast which needs to be activated) with honey, yeast, salt, and oil in a large bowl. Then add the flour and stir until it comes together in a ball. Knead the ball for a few minutes until it is a smooth dough and then cover the bowl and leave to double in size. When doubled, punch down and knead again and form a smooth log and place in a greased loaf pan to rise a second time (covered) while the oven preheats. When the loaf has doubled again, bake in a 200C oven and bake until the top is well-browned, about 30 minutes depending on oven, and remove to cool on a baking rack.
