    1.5 c whole wheat flour
    1 tsp baking powder
    1 tsp baking soda
    .5 tsp salt
    2 large ripe bananas, mashed
    .25 c packed brown sugar
    .25 c golden flax meal
    1 egg, beaten
    .33 c unsweetened applesauce
    1 tsp vanilla
    .75 c chocolate chips


Can freeze for later use.


Preheat oven to 375 degrees F, line or spray muffin tin.
Combine bananas, brown sugar, ground flax, egg, applesauce and vanilla in a large bowl. In a separate bowl combine flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add dry ingredients to wet, stir just enough to combine. Gently fold in chocolate chips. Divide evenly into 12 muffin tins. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean.
