Ingredients

    1 pound extra lean ground beef
    Cooking spray
    1 cup(s) onion(s)
    2 stalk(s) celery
    1 large pepper(s), red, bell
    1 large pepper(s), green, bell
    14 ounce(s) tomatoes, diced
    1 teaspoon salt
    1 teaspoon sugar
    1 teaspoon basil, dried
    1/4 teaspoon pepper, red, crushed
    1 bay leaf

Directions



1. Spray a large skillet with cooking spray and brown beef. Remove from skillet and place on two paper towels and set aside.

2. In the same skillet add onions and celery and cook until tender. Add peppers; stirring frequently, cook until tender.

3. Stir in tomatoes, salt, sugar, basil. Crushed pepper and bay leaf. Cook 1 minute.

4. Stir in beef, bring to a boil; then, simmer for 15 minutes.
