Introduction

Buttermilk pancakes with added wheat bran Buttermilk pancakes with added wheat bran
Number of Servings: 7

Ingredients

    1 cup unbleached white flour
    1/2 c whole wheat flour
    6 T buttermilk powder
    1T baking powder
    1 1/2 t baking soda
    3/4 t salt
    1 c wheat bran (crude) soaked in water until moist
    1 1/2 eggs
    2/5 T canola oil


Tips

Lay out on cookie sheet in freezer until frozen. Place in plastic freezer bag to store. Re-heat in toaster oven until hot.


Directions

sift dry ingredients together
whisk wet ingredients togeter
add bran to wet
add wet to dry and whisk - don't over stir
drop by 1/4 c fulls
on griddle, turn when bubbly
one serving = 2 pancakes
