Introduction

Chicken & dumplings made with chicken and biscuit dough. Chicken & dumplings made with chicken and biscuit dough.
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breast with fat trimmed
    2 cans of Pillsbury Buttermilk biscuits (small cans)
    1 12 oz. box of Pacific Foods Organic Cram of Chicken condensed soup
    3 cups of water

Tips

You can add peas/carrots/corn to this if desired. Or you can leave out the cream of chicken soup if you prefer a soupier version.


Directions

Trim fat off chicken breast and place in slow cooker.
Add 3 cups of water and container of soup and cook on low 8-9 hours.
When close to being done, boil 6 cups water in a pan.
When boiling, tear each biscuit (dough) into 3 pieces and put in boiling water.
Scoop out with a slotted spoon once firm but not too done.
Put dumplings into slow cooker with chicken and stir.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
