Number of Servings: 6

Ingredients

4 medium apples, cored and sliced
    1 t butter
    dash of salt
    1/2 t cinnamon
    1/4 c water
    4 T maple syrup

Directions

Prepare the apples (I leave the skin on, and just core and slice them). Meanwhile, heat the butter in a skillet, over medium heat. Add the apples, sprinkle with cinnamon and salt, drizzle with water, and cook, covered, for 8 minutes. Once softened, take off the lid and mix, so that the cinnamon is evenly distributed (the water will begin to cook down). Then, drizzle with maple syrup. Continue cooking and stirring for 2 minutes, until the maple syrup begins to thicken. Done!
