Introduction

Number of Servings: 16

Ingredients

    1.25 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    1.25 tsp Salt
    3.5 cup Flour, white
    1 ounce Yeast, bakers
    45 grams Vital wheat gluten

Directions

1. Add ingredients to the bread maker in the order recommended by the manufacturer.
2. Use the Italian or French loaf setting.
3. Remove from the machine before the 2nd rise.
4. On a cookie sheet, add a piece of parchment paper. On the paper, form the loaf.
5. Let rise for 30-45 minutes. Preheat oven to 425F
6. With a sharp serrated knife, slash the loaf diagonally with 3-4 cuts. Pop in the oven quickly and bake for 30 minutes, or until the bread sounds hollow when tapped.
7. Remove and let cool on a wire rack until cool enough to eat.

Serving Size: Makes 1 large loaf - 16 thick slices
