Introduction

Ingredients

    1 tbsp Active Dry Yeast (by ERINALEXIS20)
    3 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    8 tbsp Shortening, Crisco
    1 cup Granulated Sugar
    1 tbsp Salt
    2 serving 1 Large Brown Egg (by NORTIZ77)
    4 cup Whole Wheat Flour
    8 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour

Directions

About 5:00 p.m. dissolve yeast in water. Add remaining ingredients - mix well and knead. Put in a warm place to rise. Knead down every hour until 10:00 p.m. Shape into buns and place on greased cookie sheets. Lightly oil tops, then cover with plastic wrap and towels. Let rise overnight (6-8 hours). In the morning, bake at 350 degrees F for 12-15 minutes. Brush tops with butter, if desired.
