Introduction

Easy to prepare the night before and bake the morning of when pushed for time! Easy to prepare the night before and bake the morning of when pushed for time!
Number of Servings: 10

Ingredients

    6 slices of bread, toasted & cubed
    8 oz shredded cheddar cheese
    8 large eggs
    4 cups 2%Milk
    1 tsp salt
    1 tsp black pepper
    1 tsp yellow mustard
    1/4 cup chopped onion or 2/3 tsp onion powder
    10 slices of bacon


Directions

Place cubed pieces of toast in 9x13 dish. Spred shredded cheese over pieces of toast. Mix slightly blended eggs, milk, salt, pepper, mustard, & onion and pour over cheese and toast. Place in oven at 325 degrees for 40-45 minutes until eggs are set. Meanwhile, cook bacon and crumble. Sprinkle crumbled bacon on top of casserole during the last 10 minutes of baking. Half of this recipe serves a family of 4!

    Substitute turkey bacon, and egg beaters to make it lower in fat. I would also add some green pepper and onion. - 10/27/08
