Ingredients

    1 1/2lbs Turkey: Ground, 85% Lean Ground
    3 tbsp Chili powder
    1/2 tsp. Cumin Powder
    3 cloves Garlic, chopped
    2 medium Onions, chopped
1 med Green Bell Pepper, chopped
1 fresh Jalapeno, seeded and diced
    6 - 14.5oz cans Diced Tomatoes w/ Garlic & Onion
    3 - 15.5oz cans Red Kidney Beans - Bush's Reduced Sodium
    1/2 cup Red Wine

Tips

Serve with Cheddar Cheese, Chopped Raw Onions and a Dollop of Sour Cream on top.

Freeze in covered airtight containers or heavy-duty freezer bags. Properly stored, it will maintain best quality for about 4 to 6 months, but will remain safe beyond that time.

Directions

Dump Kidney Beans and Tomatoes with all liquid into a 12-15 quart pot, add green pepper, jalapeno, onion, spices and wine. Bring just to a boil then reduce to low and simmer.

Brown ground turkey with garlic, drain well and add to pot.

Cover pot with lid askew (so steam can escape), simmer on low for 4 hrs or until desired consistency.

Stir and taste occasionally, after two hours adjusting spices as needed.

DO NOT adjust seasonings before simmering for at least 2 hours, the flavors change as everything melds together and thickens.
