Introduction

Like all Impossible Pies, this separates into a crust base with a creamy custard topping. But instead of Bisquick this uses Dukan-friendly oat bran to make the base. This basic recipe can be made sweet or savoury depending on add-ins--just don't forget to calculate the added ingredients. For Dukanners who are tired of galette (I often have this for breakfast), but there's no reason why it can't be enjoyed by non-Dukanners. Ingredients

1 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
    10 grams Oat Bran (1 1/2 Tbsp)
125 grams Milk (1/2 cups) nonfat (skim milk)

Tips

Quick breakfast, snack or dessert for Dukanners, though could be enjoyed by anyone. Basic recipe can be made into sweet or savoury versions by varying add-ins.

Directions

Beat egg well in micro-wave proof bowl or dish. It should be big enough to allow for some expansion during cooking.
Mix in the oat bran and milk.
For sweet version, add artificial sweetener and vanilla/cinnamon/nutmeg to taste.
For savoury version, add salt & pepper and some cooked meat/fish/prawns/chicken/ham/surimi etc. Finely chopped spring onion (scallion) and other vegetables can be added on PV days.
Zap in microwave oven for about 3' or until the custard is set in the middle. Do not stir while cooking so you do not disturb the oat bran crust.
