Introduction

This is a meal we ate as a child that I lightened up a bit that my family loves. I also add italian seasoning if the turkey is not seasoned already. This is a meal we ate as a child that I lightened up a bit that my family loves. I also add italian seasoning if the turkey is not seasoned already.

Ingredients

1 lb whole wheat pasta (we used shells)
11/2 lbs ground beef or turkey
    2 chopped onions
8 cloves garlic (more or less according to taste)
1 32 oz container of plain fat free yogurt
2 cups Bouillon beef or chicken

Directions

Cook pasta in a large pot of boiling salted water.

While this is cooking, sauté onion and garlic in a little live oil until translucent.. add meat and brown drain extra fat off if any in there.. add about a cup or so of the water from the pasta pot and 1 or 2 bouillon cubes ( or stock if you have instead of water and bouillon) Let this simmer for a little while,,, remove from heat... add 16 oz of yogurt stirring so it does not separate... mix in with drained pasta.. Top with more yogurt.. This is so yummy and makes it tangy.

You can add more broth for a more soupy consistency.

Makes 8 sevings.

    Good
eh, it's okay...nothing to brag about - I used light sour cream instead of the yougurt, but it's REALLY bland. even with the 8 cloves of garlic. - 2/3/11
