Introduction

This is a healthy version of my friend & family favorite recipe of mine known as Wub's Hot Dish. Ingredients

1lb Ground Turkey Italian Sausage (by MRULAND)
1lb Turkey, Ground turkey, 93% lean
2 cups Chow Mein Noodle - Crunchy - La Choy (by ANEWAY)
2 cans Campbell’s Cream of Chicken Soup (98% fat free)
1 can Healthy Choice Chicken with Rice Soup, 1 cup
4 serving Minute Rice Instant Enriched Long Grain White Rice 5 min (serv= 1c cooked rice)

Tips

This meal is fantastic with a side of green beans or sweet peas, as well as biscuits, toast, etc.

If you prefer a faster cooking time, the casserole can be microwaved for 20-25 minutes instead... but oven prep is the popular vote by most that have had this.

You can also substitute the white instant rice for brown rice! We just prefer regular rice - and this meal, if anything, is our "cheat meal"

Directions

Preheat oven to 350
Brown the ground turkey and turkey sausage over medium-high heat. Salt & Pepper and Season to taste. (I like to saute minced garlic)
Drain.
Dump turkey into a large casserole dish.
Cover the turkey with the soups - do NOT mix, just pour and leave as-is. Do NOT add water, just the soup as they are in the can.
Sprinkle the casserole with the Chow Mein noodles
Cover the casserole dish and place in the oven for 40-45 minutes, checking around 35 minutes (just in case your oven is different than mine)
After checking the casserole, start the Instant rice via stove-top directions
Take the casserole dish out of the oven and let stand for a few minutes
Set the instant rice aside as well
Plate the instant rice, then cover with (or put on the side) the casserole
Sprinkle additional Chow Mein noodles for a little extra crunch if desired
