Introduction

This creamy chicken pasta dish is not healthy but I took a really unhealthy dish and added some healthier twists to add some nutrition like adding lots of veggies, whole wheat pasta, turkey bacon, and lower fat cheeses. Ingredients

    2 unit (yield from 1 lb ready-to Chicken Breast (cooked), no skin, roasted
    4 cup Whole Wheat Spaghetti, cooked (pasta)
    2 cup Bird's Eye Steamed Broccoli
    .5 cup onion - sauteed (by RSIMPSON20)
    2 serving Cooked Zucchini (by CPOPORTO)
    3 oz Pepper, red bell, sauteed (by HHAZARD)
    6 serving Butterball Turkey Bacon (1 slice)
    6 tsp Garlic, Minced (by JBALLAY)
    .6 cup, fluid (yields 2 cups whipped) Heavy Whipping Cream
    1 cup Great Value Fancy Shredded Low-Moisture Part-Skim Mozzarella Cheese
    .6 cup 2 % KROGER MILK REDUCED FAT
    0.25 cup Parmesan Cheese, grated

Directions

Cook whole wheat spaghetti(or fettuccine), steam broccoli, grill chicken breasts, bake bacon(not fry), and saute onions, peppers, and zucchini(adding zucchini when onions and peppers are 1/2 done). Add minced garlic to warm pan and let heat for 1-2 minutes, then add heavy cream and milk, stirring frequently. Add mozzarella and parmesan cheeses, stirring constantly to form cream sauce. Add 4 cups cooked pasta, stirring into cream sauce. Add veggies, bacon, and chicken. Stir and cook together for 10-15 minutes. Serve warm.
