Introduction

Jamba Juice started doing an almond milk and pumpkin smoothie this year. It's good, but it includes an awful lot of added sugars (which I don't need), and it also costs a lot more than DIYing it myself. So I did precisely that. This recipe is for a single serving. Ingredients

    1 banana
1 cup almond milk (I used unsweetened original flavor)
About 1/3 of a 15-oz can of 100% pure pumpkin puree
    Pumpkin Pie Spices to taste

Tips

If you want to add a hint of extra flavor, add a dollop of maple syrup. I didn't because I didn't need the excess sugars, but it's definitely an option!

Directions

Break or cut the banana into small chunks, and portion out your pumpkin puree. If you want to make this icy-cold, prep those ingredients in advance and put them into the freezer.

When preparing, put all ingredients into a blender (I use a bullet-style, but you can opt to do otherwise) and let it go to town until it's a good smoothie thickness. You may need to add more almond milk if the consistency is too thick; it will vary depending on the size of banana that you use.

Serving Size: Makes 1 smoothie.
