Introduction
I got this from thepioneerwoman.com and modified it. It's excellent, especially if you add a little vanilla ice cream! Peaches are good too! 1 serving is 1 dumpling, but after you taste them you might just want to save up the calories to have two! I got this from thepioneerwoman.com and modified it. Ingredients
-
2 large granny smith apples
1 pkg Pillsbury Reduced Fat Crescent Rolls
.5 cup sugar
1 cup Splenda for baking
2 sticks I Can't Believe It's Not Butter, Light Spread (16 Tbsp)
1 tsp vanilla extract
.5 cup Mountain Dew
Ground Cinnamon (to taste, calculated using 1 tbsp)
Directions
Peel and core apples. Cut apples into 8 slices each.
Cut crescent rolls in half so you have 16 pieces. Roll each apple slice in a crescent roll.
Place in a 9 x 13 greased pan. Melt butter, then add sugar and barely stir (lumpy is what you want). Add vanilla, stir, and pour over apples.
Pour Mountain Dew around the edges of the pan.
Sprinkle with cinnamon and bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes.
Serve with ice cream (not in nutritional info), and spoon some of the sweet sauces from the pan over the top.
