Ingredients

    1 large Egg, fresh, whole, raw
    0.5 cup Milk, 2%, with added nonfat milk solids, without added vit A
    1 cup (not packed) Raisins
    3.5 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour
    1.5 tsp Baking Powder
    1 cup Granulated Sugar
    1.5 tsp Nutmeg, ground
    1.25 tsp Salt
    16 tbsp Shortening, Crisco

Directions

Slightly beat egg, then add milk and raisins. Set aside. Sift dry ingredients. Work shortening into dry ingredients with pastry blender or fork. Add milk/egg/raisins. Heat griddle or skillet to 350 or medium. shape by hand and fry. Cool on wire rack. Serving Size: Makes 30 1 1/2 pieces
