Introduction

I made up this sauce as I went along trying to copy the flavor of a cajun style dipping sauce with less fat than a mayo based sauce. It turned out pretty good. Ingredients

1/2 tsp Pepper, red or cayenne
5 sprigs Dill weed, fresh chopped fine
    1 tbsp Capers chopped
2 1/2 tbsp lemon juice (approx. 2 wedges)
    1 tsp Garlic chopped
2 tbsp chopped red onions, raw
1 tbsp Dijon Mustard -I used Grey Poupon
    1 container Fage - 0% greek yogurt, plain (1 container, 170 g)
2 tbsp hot sauce - I used Cholula

Tips

Sauce tastes better after being refrigerated overnight.
Obviously, if you like more heat, add more hot sauce or cayenne to taste.
I've tossed cooked shrimp with this sauce to use in a salad or stuffed in a tomato. I've also used the sauce as a salad dressing and I've drizzled it on avocado toast to add a zing.

It's a zesty sauce. You can make it less zesty by adding a little sugar, but that's not accounted for in my nutrition calculation.

Directions

Just mix all ingredients well and refrigerate.
