Introduction

Ingredients

    1.25 tsp Salt
    0.12 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    0.75 cup (8 fl oz) Water, tap
    1.25 tsp Baking Powder
    3.0 tbsp Honey
    3.0 tbsp Molasses
    1.33 tbsp Crisco Pure Vegetable Oil
    2.0 cup Whole Wheat Flour
    1.0 cup Flour - Gold medal all purpose flour

Directions

Sift dry ingredients together three times (important). Stir in 4 tsp oil. Set aside. Mix wet ingredients together until dissolved. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and mix well. Divide into four balls and flatten each into a 1/4 inch thick disk. With a knife, score top with a cross so it can be easily broken. Lay the loaves on a baking a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and brush the tops of the loaves with oil. Bake an additional 5-8 minutes. Cook on rack and put cooled loaves into gallon sized zippy bags. Makes four 8-ounce loaves. Each loaf serves 60-70 people depending on the size of the piece given
