1 packet of dried onion soup mix
    1/2 dried bread crumbs
5 potatos (peeled and slcied thinly)

    Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Heat oven to 375 degrees. Mix the hamburger, 1/2 of the packet of soup mix, and bread crumbs together in a mixing bowl. Spread this mixture on the bottom of a greased 8 x 10 baking dish. Spread the peeled and sliced potatos over the top of the meat mixture. Sprinkle the rest of the packet of soup mix over the potatos. Cover the pan with foil or baking lid. After about 45 minutes, check to see if the potatos are done and tender. Sprinkle the shredded cheese over the cooked hotdish and place back in the over until the cheese is melted.
