Introduction
I tossed it together using leftovers and vegies before they went bad. I preboiled the beans in water on stove for 1 1/2 hrs rinsed and separated skins out then put in slow cooker with veggies to cook all day. Ingredients

2 C baby carrots
2 C celery diced
2 TB chpd fresh basil
3 TB garlic powder
1 C black beans
1/2 bag mixed dry beans for soup
8 oz cooked leftover steak cubed or chicken
4 C swanson 99% fat free chicken broth
1 C sliced onions
salt, pepper and other spices of choice to taste ( I used herbes de provence-1 TB)
Directions
wash and rinse beans, can soak over night to soften, or boil in pan on stove 1-2 hrs then use either on stove top or in slow cooker.
Put everyting in slow cooker and cook on low 12 hrs or until beans and veggies are soft to eat.
