Introduction

Basic popcorn from scratch Basic popcorn from scratch
Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

    20.0 cup Popcorn, oil-popped
    5.0 tbsp Butter, salted

Directions

Add oil to 1/4 inch high (I used coconut oil) wait till it warms up enough to pop one kernel and the add kernels enough to coat bottom. Shake vigorously with lid on (I used oven mitts to prevent burns). Once popped melt butter in separate pan. Pour over and shake immediately. Add salt to taste (not in recipe count).

Serving Size: Makes 20 cups popcorn-1 cup serving. Obviously you will add enough oil to coat pot. My pot was about 2 gallons and a quart.
