Introduction

This is really good, and fills 20 tacos. I like to add some refried beans and salsa to the filling to make it hold together in the taco better. This is really good, and fills 20 tacos. I like to add some refried beans and salsa to the filling to make it hold together in the taco better.
Number of Servings: 20

Ingredients

12 oz Tofu, Extra Firm, Nasoya
    2 cup, chopped Walnuts
0.5 can (6 oz) Tomato Paste
1 tbsp Agave Syrup - Blue Agave
    2 tbsp Soy sauce (tamari)
    1 tbsp Nutritional Yeast
    2 tsp kitchen Bouquet
    1 tsp Onion powder
    1 tsp Garlic powder
    1 tsp Cumin (ground)
    1 tsp Oregano, ground
    1 tsp Paprika
    2 tsp Chili powder

Tips

I like to stir in some refried beans and some salsa into the mixture to make it hold together a bit better. Not included in the nutritional count.

Directions

Chop the walnuts in a food processor. Then break up the extra firm tofu with your hands or a fork til it is in small size crumbles. Mix together all the other ingredients and stir into the tofu nut mix. Place on parchment covered baking sheet and bake for about 20 minutes. Stir to bring in the darker edges and mix with the middle mix. Bake for another 15 to 20 minutes til it looks as brown and crispy as you want it. This freezes really well also

Serving Size: Fills 20 tacos
