Ingredients

2 c Flour
4 tsp Baking Powder
.5 tsp Salt
.5 tspCream of Tartar
2 tsp Sugar
.5 c Butter
2/3 c Milk
Directions
Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.
Mix all the dry ingredients together. Mix the butter (softened but not liquid at all) into the dry mixture with a fork until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Add the milk all at once and stir quickly until the dough becomes moist and follows the fork around the bowl. Place dough on a lightly floured surface and knead about 10-12 strokes. Smooth dough to about 1/2 inch thick. Cut with biscuit cutter (which I happen to have-yay) or the top of a glass. Bake for 8-10 minutes.
