Introduction

A recipe my mom passed on to me, not sure where it came from, but it is yummy! Goes well over rice, and makes great leftovers-- was moister the next day. I loved this recipe and so did my whole family! This is one I will definitely make again. It wasn't too sweet, and the chicken was so moist. - 2/2/09

I've made this twice now and really enjoyed it. The kids loved it which is a huge plus. I wonder if anyone has tried making it in the crockpot instead of the hot oven. BTW, I shredded the chicken and let it really soak up the cooking sauce before serving over rice. Yum. - 8/29/08

That's a good idea about trying it in the crock pot. I don't see why it wouldn't work. Let me know if you try it!

I've seen this recipe, too... not sure where it came from either, but I'm glad you posted it! I made it over a year ago, but lost the recipe. It is very moist, and has an awesome flavor! I leave out the nutmeg, though... First time I made it, it seemed overpowering. Thanks for posting this! - 8/2/08

It's sorta like an old fashioned Southern recipe I've had in a restaurant before, unexpectedly good. I put it over Quinoa that I had in the cabinet. - 2/7/09

I have to admit that I had my doubts about this one. However, I decided to give it a try. I was quite pleasantly surprised. It was tasty, moise, and flavorful. I even enjoyed eating the baked peach halves. - 2/2/09
