Ingredients

1 28oz can crushed tomatoes
1 14 oz can diced tomatoes, no salt added
1 8 oz can tomato sauce, no salt added
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1 tbsp basil
1 tbsp oregano
2 bay leaves
1 tsp salt
3 tsp sugar (optional)
Directions
Heat a sauce pan over medium heat. Add olive oil. Once heated, add onion and garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent. Add the herbs. Stir.
Add all tomatoes, except tomato paste. Stir. Add salt. Let the sauce come to a simmer. Taste the sauce. If it seems very acidic, add sugar. Add the tomato paste and let simmer for 30 minutes or longer, stirring occasionally.
Serve over your favorite pasta!
