Tuna Salad Sandwich filling Tuna Salad Sandwich filling
Number of Servings: 5

2 - 12 oz. cans of Starkist Chunk Lite Tuna in Water
    4 tbsp. Kraft lite mayo
    3 oz. celery
    1.5 oz. onion
    squirt of yellow mustard
    salt and pepper to taste
preferred fish seasoning (lemon pepper is good)

Drain tuna and cut veggies into small pieces. Mix all ingredients and divide into 5 equal portions. Serve with salad, raw veggies, crackers, or on whole grain bread or pita. I fill one serving into half of a whole wheat pita (75 added calories) and add some lettuce.

You could add more mayo for extra flavor and a more moist consistency, but it will add extra calories. Fat Free mayo is a good option to reduce fat content but I prefer Lite Mayo and just use less of it.

Excellent idea with the lemon pepper! I usually just use fresh ground black pepper, so I will have to try this. I love tuna salad. - 9/1/08
