Ingredients

Flour, white, 3.1/2 cup
Milk, nonfat, 3/4 cup
Butter, unsalted, 1/2 cup
Granulated Sugar, 3/8 cup
Yeast, bakers, 1 package
Egg, fresh, 2 large
Lemon Peel, 1/2 tsp freshly grated
Different Fillings:
60 Sweet Cherries pitted or
4 apples quatered or
24 plumbs cut on 1/2 and pitted
24 apricots cut in 1/2 pitted
Butter, unsalted, 1/3 cup
Directions
Mix the first 7 ingredients to form a light dough. It needs to rest and rise to double its size before further preparation.
Split dough into 12 equal size balls, flatten and fill with 5 cherries each folding over each side at the bottom.
In a large glass dish melt the 1/3 cup of butter and roll each noodle and place the folded part on bottom. place all 12 Noodles in the dish and let rise again. Bake at 375 F for 17 to 20 minutes till golden brown on top. take out of oven and let cool.
The filling can be replaced with different fruit like apples, plumbs or apricots.
