Introduction

Number of Servings: 4

Ingredients

    1 1/2 pounds of your choice in vegetables.
    1/2 cup water
    1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
    1 tsp garlic or onion powder
    1 tbsp butter
    freshly ground pepper

    OPTIONAL:
    This recipe is perfectly fine with or without the steak um's. I just added them for some more protein, because this was our main meal; I used around 3-4 slices.

    If serving this as a side, it serves 9 people. If using it as a main dish, then it serves about four.

Directions

1. Place vegetables in a pan with water, garlic/onion powder, and vinegar.
2. Bring to a boil and cover. Reduce heat to medium and cook 10 minutes. Remove lid and bring back to boil.
3. OPTIONAL: Begin browning steak um's in different pan.
4. When the vegetables are glazed to a rich brown color, add the butter to the pan.
5. Turn vegetables to coat lightly with butter.
6. Season with black pepper. Garnish with parsley.
