Introduction

This is my adaptation of the Crockpot Porridge recipe from the Eat Clean Diet Cookbook. Just put everything in your crockpot and you have breakfast for a crowd or enough oatmeal to have on hand for the whole week. It's delicious! Ingredients

    1/2 C cracked wheat
    1 1/2 C steel cut oats
    1/2 C brown rice
    1/4 C wheat germ
    1/4 C Ezekial 4:9 cereal
    2 C organic FF milk
    4.5 C water
    1/4 C dried cherries
    1/4 C chopped dates
    1/4 C raisins
    1/4 C dried blueberries
    1/4 C dried cranberries
    1.5 TBSP vanilla
    pinch of nutmeg
    pinch of cinnamon

Directions

Place all ingredients in crockpot, stir and cook for 4 -5 hours on low.

Makes 8 (1 C) servings

You can add whatever dried fruit or nuts you like, or just leave them out if you prefer plain oatmeal.

    Weird, I've never thought of making my morning oatmeal ahead of time in the crockpot... great idea! Will try it this weekend, this recipe sounds good - 10/30/08
