-
1 lb 93% Lean ground beef
1 cup Italian Stlye Bread Crumbs
Egg, fresh, 1 large
3 tsp minced garlic
2 Tbsp dehydrated Onion Flakes
2 Tbsp Italian Seasoning
3 oz Fontina Cheese(1 ounce grated/ 2 oz sliced into 15 slices)
17 slices Hormel Turkey Pepperoni, cut into strips
Prego Heart Healthy Pasta Sauce (2 Tbsp per loaf)
Directions
In a large bowl combine beef, Italian seasoning, egg, bread crumbs, garlic, and onion flakes. Make 5 balls from the mixture. 1st loaf - press flat as if to make a hamburger patty, in the center lay 3 slices of Fontina cheese and top that with strips of pepperoni. Close the meat up around the filling and form into small loaf shape. Repeat process for remaining 4 loaves.
Bake in a 350 degree oven for 30 minutes, remove from oven and top with 2 Tbsp pasta sauce and return to the oven for 10 minutes to heat sauce through. Remove from oven and top with grated Fontina. Serve with your favorite vegetables...I like homemade mashed potatoes.
