Ingredients

For Cookies:
2.5 Cups flour
1 t baking soda
1 t baking powder
1 t ground cinnamon
1/2 t ground nutmeg
1/2 t salt
1.5 cups granulated sugar
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup pumpkin
1 egg
1 t vanilla extract
1 cup chopped pecans
For Glaze:
1 cup powdered sugar
1.5 T milk
1/2 T melted butter
1/2 t orange extract
Directions
Makes approx 50 cookies with glaze.
Preheat oven to 350 and grease some cookie sheets.
Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, spices, and salt in a medium bowl. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and sugar, then beat in egg, pumpkin and vailla extract until smooth.
Gradually add flour mixture, mixing til incorporated. Stir in nuts. Drop by T on cokkie sheets.
Bake for 15-18 minutes or until edges are firm. Cool on sheets for 2 minutes then remove to a cooling rack.
For glaze, sift powdered sugar into bowl, whisk in milk, extract and melted butter. Drizzle or smear on cookies sparingly while still warm. Allow cookies to cool completely before removing to storage. Try wax paper between cookie layers to preserve glaze! Enjoy!
