Introduction

I got this recipoe from my mother-in-law. I LOVE it! It's light and delicious and has calories you can work with without blowing your calorie budget. Great for potlucks. Ingredients

    2 store-bought angelfood cakes
    2- 3 oz boxes of sugar-free jello in raspberrry, cranberry, cherry, or your choice of flavors
    2- 8 oz tubs of Cool Whip Free
    2- 8 oz pkgs of thawed frozen raspberries (or if you prefer: dark cherries, blackberries, or mixed berries)

Directions

Tear up angel food cakes into chunks roughly 1 1/2".

Mix 2 pkgs jello with 1 1/2 cups boiling water to dissolve.

Add 1 cup cold water and mix well.

Add thawed fruit to jello mix.


In large bowl, ideally compote bowl, layer 1/2 cake chunks, 1/2 jello fruit mix, 1 container Cool Whip Free. Make second set of layers same way.

If desired, sprinkle with chocolate powder over top. (Semi-sweet chocolate or hot chocolate mix.)

Refrigerate to set.
