Introduction

Ingredients

1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 butter
1/8 cup brownd sugar
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 beaten eggs
1 cup applesauce
Directions
In a bowl combine 3/4 cup flour and 1/4 cup sugar, cut in butter. For topping, remove 1/2 cup crumb mixture and stir in 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Set aside.
To remaining crumb mixture add remaining flour, baking powder, baking soda and 1/2 tsp cinnamon. Add eggs and applesauce; beat till well blended. Pour into a greased 9x9x2 inch baking pan. Sprinkle topping on batter. Bake in a 375 oven for 30 minutes or till a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Serve warm. Serves 9.
