Ingredients

    1/2 med yellow onion
    1 tbls olive oil
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1 cup chicken broth (depends on how loose you want the sauce)
1/2 c non fat plain yogurt
3 oz of cream cheese (low or not fat if you want)
2 tsp salt (a lot of the ingredients are salty so taste before adding extra salt)
    lots of pepper
1.5 tsp all spice (start w/ 1, adjust after it has cooked for a bit and add more if you like)
1.5 tsp nutmeg (start w/ 1, adjust after it has cooked for a bit and add more if you like)
19 oz of frozen meatballs (1.5 bags)

Directions

Heat olive oil in sauté pan or sauce pan. Slice onion and sauté in oil
with salt and pepper. Add soup and broth. Stir together with the onions. Add cream cheese and sour cream. If the cream cheese is room temp it will melt faster. Mix until smooth. Add the rest of the spices and stir to combine. Last add the meatballs. Stir to coat all the meat balls. Put on the lid and cook on low for half hour or until the meatballs are heated through. Be sure to stir every once in a while so they don't burn.

    Very Good
Swedish Meatballs are great for cold winter days. This recipe is very rich. A little gravy goes a long way. But I had to used beef broth instead of chicken broth and I didn't have all spice. Very important to start small on the nutmeg. I will try this recipe again (w/ chicken broth). - 1/25/09
